Just found your blog and am enjoying it very much, especially
as I just read (and re-read) "Eat
Pray Love" which, I believedetails in part the few months'stay the writer had at the Indian location
of your own guru. The peeing and
pooping, well, that's kind of odd,
especially for the spiritually
enlightened, but I certainly admire
your admiting to it and relating it
so well. Happy Holidays, and I

Dear Marta,
Your courage in laying bare your past continues to amaze. Your evil-twin-skippy site predictably stepped right into the turd, which made only a guest appearance at the end of your piece. Scatology has provided me with entertainment - David Sedaris' The Big One, Mr. Hinkie, the Christmas Poo, on South Park and Salvador Dali's treatise on farting in the presence of the Queen, even fart.com. In fact, I recall a phone call from the guru in which I was unfavorably compared to the substance from which turds are made (the substance being deemed more useful). I can picture a few people I knew secretly and guiltily laughing over this before publicly condemning you for such a shocking and sick revelation. I say, all that happens (and we KNOW sh** happens), happened, and putting it into words, photos, painting or song is a freedom we thankfully enjoy. Happy Holidays to you.

Dear Marta, I enjoy your writing very much. I have never seen anything quite like it. You take alot of chances in your work, as if you really want to let people in. I have never experienced being drawn into someone's world like this as much as I do when I read your writing. I think you are an interesting artist. I hope you keep writing. I think you'll probably make it big some time. The workshops you do with your husband sound fascinating. Again, not like any other writing workshops out there! And believe me, I know! anyway, thank you for writing.
